Holotype: KIZ 2004009395 39.0mm SL, 48.2mm TL. Paratypes: KIZ 2004009394 46.9mm SL, 57.7mm TL; KIZ 3004009396 30.8mm – 36.1mm SL, 37.8mm – 44.2mm TL.


Known only from the type locality: A cave at Du'an County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. 24°15'N, 107°05'E. This species coexists with Bibarba parvoculus and Sinocyclocheilus brevis.
