Note

The only published account of this species is in Chinese, with only a brief English summary. There may be more details of the habitat, distribution and relationships within the Chinese text. The small photograph of the head provided shows a fish with normal eyes and a black stripe. It is possible that this species is not a subterranean fish and it certainly does not appear to be in the slightest troglomorphic.
