Distribution
Known only from the type locality: Rio Xingu at Arroz Cru, near Senador José Porfirio, Brazil (03°25'16"S, 51°55'08"W). At this locality this species was found to coexist in the sedimant with Typhlbelus ternetzi and Typhlobelus macromycterus (de Pinna and Zuanon 2013).
