Only a holotype as been assigned: KNHM 2019000001 164.1mm SL.
Distribution
Known only from the type locality: Near the north bank of the Three Gorges (Sanxia) reservoir, mainstream of the Yangtze River, Guojiaba Town, Zigui County, Hubei Province, China (30°58'09.92"N, 110°44'16.14"E altitude 144 meters). This is a long way north-east of the distribution area of all other species in the genus which are all restricted to Yunnan, Guizou and Guangxi.
Habitat
Unknown. The only known specimen was clearly out of its normal habitat when collected.
