Holotype: CLJH 12120309 71.5mm SL. Paratypes: CLJH 10120601 36.3mm SL, 2011090398 36.0mm SL, 201110402 53.1mm SL, 201110403 49.7mm SL, 201110404 42.5mm SL, 12120310 74.9mm SL (1 specime each).

Distribution

Known only from the type locailty: Langping Town, Tianlin County, Guangxi, China.24.6°N. 106.3°E, elevation 830 meters.

Systematics

A good comparison of subterranean Triplophysa species is provided by Wu et al. (2018).

Biological Notes

Pigment absent, eyes degenerated to tiny black spot.
