Distribution

Known only from the type locailty: Langping Town, Tianlin County, Guangxi, China.24.6°N. 106.3°E, elevation 830 meters.

Systematics

A good comparison of subterranean Triplophysa species is provided by Wu et al. (2018).

Biological Notes

Pigment absent, eyes degenerated to tiny black spot.
