Distribution
Currently, the species is known only from its type locality, Naduvannur, a village in Kozhikode District, Kerala State, India
Habitat
The fish was first observed in a water tank filled with water drawn from a dug-out well on a sloping terrain (150 m asl). The well is supplied with underwater springs
