Abstract: A new species of the genusHeminoemacheiluswas collected from a cave in Ande Town, Jingxi County in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China in August, 2011. The new species, Heminoemacheilus parva sp. nov., can be distinguished fromH. zhengbaoshaniby the absence of eyes and scales, transparent body, complete lateral line, pectoral fin tip over the midpoint between pectoral fin base and pelvic fin base. It can be distinguished fromH. hyalinusby slender body (Standard length (SL) is 4.8-7.3 times as long as body depth), longer head (SL is 3.1-3.6 times as long as head length), and slender caudal-peduncle (the length of caudal peduncle is 1.6-2.4 times as long as depth of caudal peduncle).
