Known only fromm the type locailty: Jogeshwari Well, S.V. Road, Mancherji Banaji industrial home for the blind, Maharashtra, Mumbai City, India.

Systematics

Rakthamichthys mumba is sister to a group containing Monopterus eapeni, R. roseni and R. digressus (Preveenraj et al. 2021).
