Distribution
Known only from the type locality: A cave in Bayan Village, Rongdu Town, Ceheng County, Guizhou Province, China, elevation 1259m
Systematics
The genus Karstsinnectes currently has seven species (K.acridorsalis, K. cehengensis, K. parvus, K. longzhouensis, K. anophthalmus, K. hyalinus and K. daxinensis). These are in two major clades, one containing K. acridorsalis and K. cehengensis, and the second containing K. parvus, K. longzhouensis, K. anophthalmus and K. daxinensis. The position of the seventh species, K. hyalinus, has not been ascertained.
Karstsinnectes cehengensis is sister species to K. acridorsalis.
