Distribution
Caves in Ling-Yun and Leye counties, Guangxi, China (c. 24o45’N, 106o30’E).
Habitat
Not determined.
Systematics
A member of the subfamily Barbinae and closely related to Sinocyclocheilus jii (based on the number of lateral line pores). Wang and Chen (1998) revised the diagnosis of the genus Sinocyclocheilus. Clade angularis.
